ALL STAR NOMINATION FORM AVAILABLE

The nomination window for the East-West All Star game is now open.  The game will be played on Saturday, June 25 at Lawrence Tech in Southfield.  Head coaches received an email earlier on February 14th with the link to the nomination form.

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT ALLIANCE APPLICATIONS BEING ACCEPTED

The MHSFCA is committed to the professional development of our members and the advancement of the game of football in Michigan. With that in mind, we have decided to create the MHSFCA Leadership Development Alliance, modeled after the AFCA’s 35 Under 35 program.  We will identify, through a rigorous application process, the best and brightest among future head coaches and coordinators in our state. These men will then receive intensive leadership training from top coaches in our state, create a network to build from, and an individually designed mentoring program.  It is our hope that by pouring into these future leaders, with an curriculum emphasis targeting areas like program development, player development, community involvement, and other areas of interest to aspiring head coaches, we will set them up for success in their careers and they can create great programs in their communities that will impact hundreds of players and others in the coaching profession as a result.

Who Is This Program Targeting?

  • Current assistant coaches who aspire to be head coaches or coordinators
  • Current head coaches with a maximum of five seasons as a head coach

Those selected must commit leadership training sessions June 23-25, 2022 at Lawrence Tech in conjunction with our All Star / Hall of Fame weekend and sessions specifically for them at our annual coaches’ clinic in January 2023.

Coaches interested in this opportunity are encouraged to send an updated professional resume to MHSFCALeadershipDevelopment@gmail.com  by March 20, 2022  Those who make it through the first round of the selection process will provide a list of five references and one of two options: 1) a 1600 word article on scheme, technique drills, or plays that includes diagrams (offense, defense, or special teams) that can be published by the MHSFCA; or 2) a 10-minute video doing the same.
