Zach is the son of Todd and Lauren Walker. His older sister, Aspen is a sophomore studying Chemical Bimolecular Engineering at The University of Pennsylvania.
Zach began his football career in seventh grade. He played varsity football as a two-way starter his junior and senior years. Over this two year period, Zach gained over 2,000 all-purpose yards, had 24 touchdowns and seven interceptions. He led the team in touchdowns both years. Zach served as co-captain of the team his senior year.
Zach has played basketball “since I learned to walk and was always carrying, sleeping or bathing with a ball in hand”. He played travel, AAU basketball and was a starter on varsity beginning in his freshman year in high school. He also participated in track and field his freshman, junior and senior years. Zach thanked, “God for His many gifts and blessings, my parents for their unconditional love and guidance, and my grandparents, coaches and friends for the encouragement and support. My dad has always coached me on the three important things in athletics and life: Attitude – Believe and be positive, Persevere – Don’t ever give up, Always – Work hard to get better.”
Zach received a scholarship to play football at Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and will study Mechanical Engineering and possibly minor in Business.
