Trent was a three-year starter for the Dragons, his last two years he started on both sides of the ball. During his varsity career, he helped lead the Dragons to a 25-8 record and three playoff appearances including one district championship and one league championship. During regular season games, the Dragons averaged 28 points per game while holding opponents to an avenge 9 points per game and racked up 11 shutouts and 6 “mercy” games. He was voted captain his senior year and Outstanding Offensive Lineman in both his junior and senior years. During his two years on defense, he accumulated 92 tackles, 3 sacks, 3 pass break-ups, a fumble recovery, a blocked PAT and a blocked field goal. His senior year on offense, he graded out at over 90% and had over 84 knockdowns.
During his freshman year, Trent wrestled his way to sixth place in the state finals heavyweight division, an amazing accomplishment. In addition to football and wrestling, Trent threw the shot and discus for the track team for three years. He also enjoyed helping out with the middle school football camps and participating in the football team’s elementary school reading program.
Trent’s favorite high school classes were CAD and Japanese. He plans to earn a Master’s degree in Architecture from Penn State.
Trent thanked his teammates and coaches and said, “I couldn’t have done it without you!” He also gave, “huge thanks to my mom for all her support, hard work and dedication.” Finally, he thanked his “other” families, The Vans and The Martins, as well as Judy Law and Sarah Budreau for, “always being there for him.”
