Tim started playing football when he was eight years old. He played football for nine years including two years on the varsity team. In his junior season he played offensive guard and defensive tackle. In his senior season, he played defensive tackle where he became a dominant force at that position. As a junior Tim had 56 tackles, 2 sacks, and 9 tackles-for-loss and was awarded Defensive Player of the Year. As a senior he accumulated 84 tackles, 4 sacks, 10 tackles-for-loss, and 2 pass-break-ups and was presented the team’s Ironman Award and named the team’s Athlete of the Year”.
Tim also wrestled three years, two years at the varsity level and made it to the state tournament both years. He earned fifth place in the state in Division 1 in his junior year and fourth place his senior year.
Tim thanked “My family for always being there and supporting me through all of my ups and downs. I also thank my uncle, Rusty Lundgren, who helped me through the whole recruiting and college application process. I am thankful for my teammates for pushing me to get where I am at today. Lastly, I thank Saginaw Valley State University for giving me the opportunity to play football for their team.”
