Ronald Jenkins is the son of Ronald and Lutevies Jenkins Sr. He is their only child. 

Ronald has been playing football since the age of six for the Muskegon Heights Youth Program. Ronald was a four year starter in high school, three years at Muskegon Heights and one year for the Muskegon Big Reds. Ronald was named 1st Team All State, 1st Team All Conference, 1st Team All Area, and he also made the Detroit Free Press Dream Team. 

Ronald also played four years of basketball where he played all positions. Ronald said, “I really think none of this would have happened without God. God is the head of my life. Ronald thanked, “all of my coaches, the school staff, my friends, and my family who all have been very supportive to me over the years through the good and bad.”
