1st Assistant Coach Ron Adams
Wyandotte Roosevelt High School
Ron Adams grew up in Taylor, Michigan. His family members are Ron Sr. (Father), Mary (Mother) and Michael (Brother). He attended Taylor Center High School and graduated in 1984. Ron received a full ride scholarship to attend Eastern Michigan University where he earned his degree in education.
Ron Adams was the quarterback at EMU from 84-87 and during his tenure, EMU won the 1987 California Bowl. Ron’s accomplishments at EMU include 1987 team MVP, Unanimous Choice All MAC and Associated Press Honorable Mention All American honors. Ron’s extended playing career included 6 years in the Arena Football League (Detroit Drive 91-93), (Tampa Bay Storm 97-99). He also played 5 years in the Federation of Italian American Football League (89, 90, 94-96).
Ron currently teaches physical education in the Wyandotte public schools. He has coached high school football for 17 years (Taylor Center 89-92), (Melvindale 93-97), (Wyandotte 98-2000), (Head Coach Taylor Truman 01-05) and he was recently named Head Coach at Wyandotte Roosevelt. Ron was selected Regional coach of the year in 2004. Other honors include inductions into the Eastern Michigan University Hall of Fame (1999) and the Taylor Sports Hall of Fame (2002).
Ron thanked his wife, Debi, and daughters, Paige (5) and Emma (2), for the support and sacrifices they make that allow him to coach high school football. Ron said, “I am very proud to be representing the East All Star Team and developing relationships with the finest student athletes in the state of Michigan”.
