Parris Bennett Jr. is the son of Michelle Kimble and Parris Bennett Sr. He has one sister, TaKilah Kimble.
Parris started playing football when he was seven. Coming into high school he wasn’t seen as a potential Division 1 player by some coaches. In his tenth grade year he started at outside linebacker and has led University of Detroit Jesuit High School in tackles ever since. As a captain and two way starter Parris helped U of D High reach the playoffs his senior season for the first time since 2001. Parris was voted Defensive MVP of the team.
Parris gave special thanks to his mom and his step father, Antonio Kimble, “for pushing me to be the best I can be and taking me to all the summer camps so I could compete with the best and get better. He also thanked, “my grandmother, Lucille Walker, for coming to every game and being my number one fan.”
