Mike was a three-year starter at Everett, after starting as a freshman at Lansing Eastern High School. A multi-dimensional athlete who also lettered three times in basketball and twice each in baseball and track and field, Mike threw for 2,193 yards and 23 touchdowns in 2005. He also rushed for 650 yards and seven scores in his senior campaign.
Michael collected All Conference honors all four years of his high school career and he was a two-time All State Special Mention honoree. Michael is tied for 12th all-time in Michigan with 52 career touchdown passes. He was ranked as the No. 10 prospect in Michigan by the Detroit Free Press and was No. 16 on the Detroit News Blue Chip List.
Mike thanked his coach, Marcelle Carruthers who was a four-year letterman and former assistant coach at CMU. Michael has chosen to attend Central Michigan University.
