Lucas is the son of Craig and Renee Lanzon. He has two younger brothers, Zachary (14) and Alex (10).

Lucas began his football career in the fifth grade as a St. Clair Shores Green Hornet. Lucas was quite over weight in a league where there was a 125 pound weight limit for the freshman team. He was forced to lose thirty pounds. Lucas played one more year of Green Hornets before he became a part of the Middle School Central where he began playing quarterback and linebacker. Lucas played four years of Lancer Football. As a freshman, he started as quarterback on the freshman team and saw minimal time at linebacker. On the varsity level, Lucas played linebacker, quarterback, fullback, tight end, and even center. He was named Team MVP in both his junior and senior seasons. Commenting on his senior season of football Lucas said, “Those three months were the best of my life.”

Lucas has also played varsity baseball for L’Anse Creuse and federation ball in the summer. In the winter, he focused on lifting. In his senior year, he participated on the Powerlifting team. Amongst all this, Lucas has stayed dedicated to the rigorous MST program at the Pankow Center and has pushed himself in the classroom. He carries a 3.7 GPA and scored a 29 on his ACT.

Lucas said, “First and foremost, I thank my parents. My mother and father have been there with me every step of the way. The rest of my immediate and extended family’s support and praise is something I am so grateful for as well. I thank all of my coaches. The person and football player I am today really stems from the lessons I have learned on those practice fields. As for my teammates, thank you so much. The brotherhood we shared and the good times we experienced are what made the game fun. We didn’t get the story book ending, but we had a great time giving it our best shot. I love you guys. Last but not least, I would like to thank God. I am fortunate to have been given the ability to chase my dreams; I owe that to him.”
