Assistant Coach – Kyle Zimmerman
Notre Dame Prep High School
Coach Kyle Zimmerman graduated from Marine City High School in 1997 where he played for Bob Staskiewicz, Tony Scarcelli and Ron Glodich. He attended Wayne State University where he earned his bachelors degree and played football for the Warriors. He is currently working on his Masters Degree at Wayne State University. Coach Zimmerman started his teaching and coaching career at Montrose High School (2002 – 2006). In his first year with the Rams, led by Dennis Reinhart, the Rams went 14-0 and captured the Division 5 State Championship. Coach Zimmerman began his head coaching career at Burton Bentley High School in 2008 where he led the Bulldogs to their first League Championship in 20 years.
In 2009 he was hired as a physical education teacher and head football coach at Pontiac Notre Dame Prep. Over the last four years the Fighting Irish have accumulated 29 wins, two League Championships, a Prep Bowl Championship and three MHSAA Playoff appearances.
Coach Zimmerman said, “I am truly grateful for both the coaches that I have had the privilege to coach under early in my career and the players that have played for the teams that I have been a part of. The game of football has given me a lot over the years and I am blessed to be able have the opportunity to impact the lives of young people that will last long beyond what happens on Friday nights in the fall.”
