Ken started playing football at age ten. He was a part of the Millington Youth Football program until seventh grade at which point he started in junior high football. In his high school football career he played one year of freshman football, followed by three years on the varsity team. Two of the three years on varsity he was one of the four team captains. Ken played both ways for three years. On defense he played outside linebacker, and on offense he played running back. His junior year he was awarded second team All Tri-Valley Conference at linebacker and honorable mention at running back. In Ken’s senior year, he continued to play both ways at middle linebacker and running back. Ken was selected first team All Tri-Valley Conference, linebacker and second team All Tri-Valley Conference, running back. He was also awarded MVP of the defense and Co-MVP of the team. Ken finished his career with 268 tackles, 39 tackles for loss, 21 sacks, 6 forced fumbles, 3 interceptions, and a Tri-Valley Conference championship.
Ken also played basketball his sophomore year.
Ken thanked all of the coaches and assistant coaches involved in his football career: Tim Furno, Roger Bearss II, Jason Germain, Mike Erra, Steve Bouvy, John Allard, Lanny Elowsky, Mike Schiefer, Lenny Dantinne. Ken also thanked, “all my aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins, and friends for all their support.” He gave, “a special thanks to Mom and Dad and the entire Millington community.”
