Kellen began his football career on an undefeated freshman football team. He was then moved to varsity, where he started for three years. He was named All Conference in 2002 and 2003. In 2003 he was also named first team All State by the Associated Press.
Kellen also played basketball where he was a starter in his JV and sophomore years. He also ran track for the Maples.
Kellen thanked his entire family for their support. A special thanks was given to his grandparents. He also thanked the Adrian coaching staff and singled out, “close friends and teammates, D.J. Howard, Donte Howard and Andre Davis.”
