Jason started playing football in the fourth grade for the Clarkston Chiefs. He played a variety of positions and has always had a passion for the game. Jason was named captain in his senior year and helped lead his team to the state championship game in 2007. As a senior, Jason had 30.5 tackles, including 7.5 sacks, 15 tackles for a loss and 4 fumble recoveries. He was the team’s Defensive Player of the Year for 2007. He also had 7 receptions and 1 touchdown.
Jason played varsity lacrosse his freshman through junior years and varsity basketball as a senior.
Jason thanked his mom for supporting his dream even though she never wanted him to play football. He thanked his coaches at the Clarkston Chiefs, Marist Academy and St. Mary’s Prep for pushing him to be the best. “My brother is my best friend and I would not be as strong of a person as I am if it was not for him. My greatest thrill so far was playing alongside my brother in the state championship game. I thank my dad for challenging me to be better each day.”
Jason will continue his education on a football scholarship at the University of Iowa. He plans to major in business and study investment banking or sports management.
