Janero was a starter for the Flint Beecher Bucs for four years, playing the positions wide receiver and defensive back. In his junior year he helped take the team to the first district win in Beecher history. As a senior he helped take the Bucs back to the districts, losing to the St. Charles Bulldogs in the district championship. As a senior he had 56 receptions, 905 receiving yards, 7 touchdowns, 1 rushing touchdown, 1 kickoff return, and 7 interceptions.
Janero also ran track and played basketball. He was a three year starter for the Bucs, where he was a point guard. In 2008, he helped lead the team to the State Championship game where they finished as runners-up in Class C. In track, Janero qualified for state all four years where he ran the 100 meter dash, 4×100 relay and 4×200 relay.
Janero said, “I honor God first, who has given me the talent and mental toughness to become the person I am today. I give a great amount of thanks to my mother and father, for believing in me, supporting, and encouraging me in everything I do. I give a special thanks to family and friends who supported me throughout my high school career. I also thank my coaches and football teammates who helped me, because without them, I wouldn’t have had the opportunity to achieve any goals and they have also helped me become the player and person I am.”
Janero will continue his football career at Saginaw Valley State University.
