Dustin began playing football at the age of four and from the start it became his favorite sport. He was a four-year varsity player, who was pulled up for the playoffs his freshman year. The last three years he has started both on offense and defense. His sophomore and junior years he played at running back and linebacker and his senior year as running back and strong safety. He also returned punts and kickoff returns each year on varsity.
Dustin’s first three years of high school football he and his team made it to the semi-final playoff game and last year, with Dustin as captain of the team for the second year in a row, they made it over the hump to go on to win the State Championship for Division 6.
Dustin received three team awards: the Ironman Award, the Ken Diamond Coaches Award, and the Most Valuable Player Award. He also received All Conference and All Area awards on offense, defense and special teams and was named All State first team as an All Purpose Player.
