2010 Woman of the Year
Donna Cisco
Monroe Jefferson
A graduate of Coldwater High School, Donna received a Bachelor of Science degree from EMU. Donna and her husband, Marc, landed at Monroe Jefferson in the early 1960’s and are still going strong!
Donna was a cheerleading advisor and added Thursday pre-game meals for the varsity team to her duties. Then came post-game meals for the coaches and their families. This led to being the meal coordinator at football camp and so on.
Donna saw a need for filming the middle school games, and began doing that for the coaching staff. She also did some Freshmen games, and Marc eventually promoted her to filming all of the Varsity and JV games at Jefferson. In the past 27 years she has only missed one JV game.
Donna retired from teaching in 1997 and when not filming, spends her time keeping track of her four children, seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Donna said, “Football coaches are a very unique group of teachers, husbands and fathers who are seldom home in the fall. My involvement in football began as a way to share in my husband’s life and the players and sport he loved so much.”
