Daniel is the son of Beth Hager and Joe Green. He has three brothers, Brad, Adam and Nathaniel.

Daniel began his football career when he was in second grade. He saw limited varsity playing time as a freshman, but started every game his sophomore, junior and senior seasons. In all, Daniel started 41 games for the Falcons at nose tackle. Daniel was a three-time All Conference First Team selection. He led his teams to two state finals appearances and one state championship. He holds the West Catholic record for tackles for a loss (35) and games started (41). Daniel never lost a conference game while at West Catholic.

Daniel was also a member of the wrestling team during his time at West Catholic, and participated in many hours of community service in and outside of the school.

Daniel thanked his parents and family for “all of their support over the years.” He thanked Mrs. Corey, Ms. Simon and Ms. G for “all of their academic support.” He also thanked all of his coaches, especially Coach Rohn and Coach Abid, for helping him achieve “this great success.” Daniel is the sixth consecutive West Catholic player to be named to the All-Star Team.
