Dan Brown (Coach Boone) graduated from Deckerville High School in 1990. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Ferris State University in finance. Dan is currently a self employed real estate appraiser, which is a profession he has been in for the past 17 years. Coach Boone began coaching in Deckerville as a lineman and special teams coach in 1995. Coach Boone has been the Defensive Coordinator of the Eagles for the past four years and continues also as the special teams coach.
Dan has been married to LeAnn for 14 years. They have one dog “Big Brown.” Dan credits his wife with giving him great support whether to coach football or in every day life. Dan said, “My marriage to LeAnn is my single greatest success.” Dan Brown actually played in the 1990 East-West All Star Game. “It was an honor to play in the game and it allowed me to make some life time friends and connections in football.” Dan said, “I look forward to coaching the East All Stars exactly 20 years after playing in the game myself. I am excited about coaching with the East fine coaching staff and most of all coaching the East squad.”
I am honored to be part of the Michigan High School All Star coaching staff. It is certainly a privilege and I thank the Michigan Football Coaches Association for the opportunity and for putting on this first class all star game. Final thanks to Head Coach Bill Brown and the coaching staff at Deckerville. I am lucky to coach with not only great passionate coaches, but even better friends.”
