Cody played his first year of high school football on the junior varsity team and was brought up to varsity for the playoffs where he played in the State Championship game his freshman year. He started the next three years on the varsity team at the linebacker position and played in another State Championship game his sophomore year. He was a captain for two years.
Cody was also a two year starter on the basketball team and played baseball for two years. Cody has signed to play football for Northern Michigan University and is planning to pursue a degree in law enforcement.
Cody thanked his family, friends, and coaches for, “all the encouragement and support they have given me throughout my career. Without their support and trust I wouldn’t be the player or the person that I am today.”
