North Branch High School
Al Boydston graduated from Morenci High School in 1975 and Western Michigan University in 1979. He started his coaching career at Comstock under Hall of Fame coach Jack Runchey. Boydston coached 31 years at Caro, 20 as the head coach. He was named 1993 Saginaw News Dream Team Coach, Tuscola County Advertiser Coach of the Year in 2003 and MHSFCA Regional Coach of the Year in 1993, 2002 and 2003. He was inducted into the MHSFCA Hall of Fame in 2009. For the past two seasons, Boydston has been an assistant coach at North Branch.
Coach Boydston and his wife of 33 years Pam, a physical therapist assistant for the VA, have two kids. Timothy, is a pilot in Jacksonville, Florida and Natalie, an environmental field scientist in Pittsburg.
