Christopher Brown is the son of Katrina White. Chris is a big brother to Marcus age nine, and O’Sheona age four.
Chris started his football career at age seven through the Grand Rapids Rocket football league, playing for the Fuller Park Panthers. He went on to Kelloggsville Middle School as their running back from grades 6-8.
Chris played four years of high school with three years on the varsity team. He rushed over 1,500 yards with 23 touchdowns his junior year, and rushed over 1,400 yards with 18 touchdowns his senior year. During Chris’ senior high career he received many awards including in 2008 OK Silver All Conference Running Back and Advance All Area and in 2009 First Team Division 5/6 All State and Grand Rapids Press Dream Team.
Chris participated in other Rocket sports besides his four years of football. He participated in one year of baseball, two years of track and field and four years of wrestling. As a wrestler Chris was a three-time All Conference and two time District, Regional and State Champion.
Chris first thanked “God for all my successes. ” He thanked “my supportive family and the KV coaching staff” and gave special thanks to his uncle Quentin and Grandmother Gladys. He also thanked the Kelloggsville Administrative staff, the boosters, the teaching staff from both high school and middle school for laying the ground rules “which held me accountable for my actions.” He added, “I thank the Kelloggsville Community for their support. It will not be forgotten.”
