Chad’s football experience began in the fifth grade with the Charlotte Junior Oriole football program. He played quarterback primarily as a very young athlete. Chad transferred to wide receiver his junior season, played at defensive back and returned kicks. Chad helped lead the Orioles to a three year record of 29-6. They made it to the state semi-finals his senior season. Chad holds seven single season yardage records at CHS and five career records, including 4,870 all purpose yards and 43 touchdowns.
Chad also played basketball and ran track for Charlotte High School. He was a four year letter winner in both basketball and track. He won 11 letters in all.
Chad thanked his parents Keith and Mary for their support throughout his career. “They have been there behind the scenes helping me get through the thick and thin. They developed me into a young man and showed me their love each and every day.” Chad also thanked his football coach, Eddie Ostipow, and the assistant coaches, the rest of his family, and those who helped sponsor him in today’s game.
