They made him captain for the Eagles and he received MVP Defense and many Player of the Game Awards.
Alfonso said, “Thank you to my very supportive family and friends who made it to every game throughout the years. I especially want to thank my dad for supporting me and always pushing me to the best that I can be. I also want to thank my coaches, Bob Lantzy, Chris Smith, Dave Brzezinski, Carl Barton and Travis Multhaupt and the entire coaching staff from Eisenhower. They gave me the chance to show them what I could do and gave me the opportunity to do it. My teammates were the best. They were always there for me and I couldn’t have been successful without them. Most importantly, I would like to thank God for giving me the talent and ability to play this exciting sport. I hope that I can continue to make them all proud at Saginaw Valley State University.”
