Alex started playing football when he was eight years old. He played with the Dearborn Heights Raiders for six years. This is where his love of the game began. Every year he loved the physical nature of the game. He loves hitting and that’s what brought him to the offensive and defensive line in his high school varsity career.
Alex led the team with 65 solo tackles, 50 assists, and 7 1/2 sacks. On the offensive side of the ball 65% of the running plays were to his side. He had 17 pancakes and allowed no sacks all season.
Alex had a very notable wrestling career with a record of 40-10 his junior year and 50-5 in his senior year, mostly at heavyweight. Alex also enjoys rugby, playing for the past two seasons.
Alex thanked his parents, Bob and Mila, for all their support throughout the years. They were at every game. They have always encouraged all of his efforts.
Alex also thanked his brother Nick and sister Beka for pushing him to be the best he could be. Thanks were given to all his relatives and friends who cheered for him through the years.
“Last but not least, “I thank all my coaches from junior football to high school football, especially Coach Jack Masserang. I have much appreciation for Coach Skowronski, defensive coach, and the staff at Divine Child. Without their guidance, support and tireless efforts I would not be a Michigan ‘All Star’ today.”
