Adam Gulvas

Adam began his football career in the fifth grade with the Standish Lions. Adam was a three-year starting linebacker with the Panthers. He played on teams that went to the district finals in 2006, regional finals in 2007, and state semi-finals in 2008. In 2008, Standish-Sterling football enjoyed their first back-to-back conference championship and their first undefeated regular season. Adam holds school records including, most single season solo tackles with 113, and a career school record of 274. In 2008, Adam was voted MVP Defense and also earned the team Leadership Award.

In addition to football, Adam spent four years on both the basketball and track and field teams. He was also on student council and was a three-year National Honor Society member.

Adam plans to continue his playing career at Midland’s Northwood University. “This is a great honor, to be playing in this game. There are many people that deserve thanks. First, my parents for being there for me. My sister, Andrea, for not missing a game. Coaches Walderzak, Kraatz, Potts, Waldie, and Jennings, for giving us the tools to be a great team. My teammates, because without all of you, there is no way that I would be in this game. (I wish all of you could be on that field with me one last time) and finally the community. The support that you gave our team this year was nothing short of amazing. I just hope we delivered and gave everyone an exciting season.”
