At age four he began racing motocross, and at age seven began playing football. He continued to participate in both for years, “but as football became more demanding I had to choose one or the other. I had always dreamed of playing college football and knew how much I loved the sport, so football was my natural decision.” In Lawrence’s junior year he received an All Conference linebacker award and a top underclassmen award. His senior year he received the top defensive back award and was voted captain by his teammates. “I have been blessed with the opportunity to continue my football career next year at Princeton University.”
Lawrence participated in lacrosse, basketball, theater, and National Honor Society at Powers.
He thanked, “my friends and family, especially my parents and my sister for all of their love and support throughout the years.” He also thanked Coach Neumann and the rest of the Powers staff for their support and encouragement. Lawrence thanked, “past coach and friend Rob Polovina. and the great doctors that have taken care of me over the years, Bruce Serven, Gerald Piesko, and Jon Scanner.” He concluded by thanking, “my teammates for all of the great memories.”
