Andy started on both offense and defense for the Eagles. As a sophomore, he was a part of the Schoolcraft Eagles Division 6 State Championship team. As a senior, Andy was Co-Captain and played tailback and defensive back. He rushed for 1,400 yards in 7 games and led the team in tackles. Andy was named to the First Team All State on offense and was also named St. Joe Valley League MVP.
In addition to football, Andy participated in basketball, for which he was honored as Co-Captain and All St. Joe Valley League. He also was a member of the track team, competing in the state finals as a junior in the mile relay and long jump. Andy also served on Student Council for three years, volunteered as a mentor and worked as a referee for the Rocket Football program. Andy will be attending Western Michigan University where he plans to play football.
Andy thanked his parents, his family, his friends and his teammates. He also thanked the Schoolcraft community for the unmatchable support of the Eagles and especially the “Island” (SIYA). Most of all he thanked all of his coaches, especially coaches Ledlow, Manning, Haas and King for all of their hard work and encouragement.
