Michael Weiskopf – Assistant Coach
Walled Lake Western High School
Coach Weiskopf enters his 20th year of coaching with the Walled Lake Western Warriors this year. He is Western’s varsity offensive coordinator and the the offensive line coach. While working as a varsity assistant, Mike has worked previously with receivers, running backs, and quarterbacks. The Warriors have been in the playoffs every season during Mike’s time as a varsity coach. Mike has coached all levels at WLW, three of them as Head Coach for the Junior Varsity team, as well as three as the Head Coach for the Freshman team.
Coach Weiskopf is a math teacher and department chairperson at WLW and is a one of a select group of teachers in the State of Michigan who has achieved National Board Certification as a secondary teacher and educational leader. He received his BS in Education from The University of Michigan in 1995 and has both a Masters and Ed. Specialist degrees from Wayne State University. He was a member of the University of Michigan football team from 1991-1994 where he was part of two Michgan Teams that competed in the Rose Bowl.
Mike and his wife, Lisa, reside in Northville with their children Jacob (13), Rebekah (10), and Aaron (9).
