Ben only played football his senior year. He broke the school record for longest field goal at 45 yards, and was voted Special Teams Player of the Year. Ben was selected as the All Kalamazoo Valley Association Place Kicker, and the All State First Team Place Kicker.
Ben was a starting defender for three years on the varsity soccer team. He was selected as an All Kalamazoo Valley Association player and an All District player in his senior year. Ben also lettered in track his freshman year.
Ben thanked his parents, family, and friends for their support in everything he did. He also thanked his teammates and coaching staff, “especially Coach Drenth, for their guidance and help. I couldn’t have done this without the help of so many people, and I thank you all for a great year.”
