Chad played full back and middle linebacker for the Gibraltar Carlson Marauders. His senior year he rushed for 2154 yards, averaging 13.1 yards a carry and had 26 touchdowns which led the team and the region. He also set a Monroe Region record for 419 yards rushing in a single game. Chad earned Athlete of the Week honors three times from the Downriver News-Herald and Monroe Evening News, and was named player of the game by Comcast Local Sports.
Chad not only played football in high school, he also wrestled and ran track. Chad was a four year letter winner in wrestling and a three time all state wrestler finishing eighth in his sophomore year, second in his junior year and first in his senior year at the MHSAA state tournament. He also participated in track and was a part of the league champion 400 M relay. Chad will attend Ferris State University and hopes to become a chiropractor.
Chad said, “I thank my parents and my whole family including my brother and grandparents for their support. They were always at every event cheering me on. Also thanks to my football coaches at Carlson for giving me the chance to show what I could do.
