Running Back

6’2″ 195

High School Coach: Matt Davenport

High School: Belleville, A

College: Undeclared

Jerome is the youngest of three siblings, behind Brittany (24) and Saybin (18).

Jerome started playing football when he was eight years old when he played for the Washtenaw Maize Wolverines. He broke his wrist six games into that season and couldn’t finish it. Unfortunately, the next year he couldn’t play because of a fractured knee cap. From then on he played every year and did well. In high school, he played running back freshman year and wide receiver the next two years. In his senior season he started out at receiver, but “when a couple of our running backs couldn’t play I was drafted to play my original position, running back, and began to blossom.” He finished the season with over 900 yards on 90 carries, and received All Conference, All Area and All Metro West recognition.

Jerome also played basketball and ran track at Belleville. The track team finished fourth in the state and tied a school record in the 4×100 relay.

Jerome thanked, “God first and foremost and then my family, who were always there for me no matter what.” He thanked Darryl Hudson Sr. and Jr., Remington Burton, Keiandre Marks, and Alvin Reels, “for all of the hard work we put in to get to where we are.” He thanked the coaching staff at BHS, “for always believing in me and keeping me on a positive track.” He also thanked, “All of my friends in my life who support me.”
