In his junior year of football Mike had 130 tackles and two interceptions at linebacker. In his senior year he played both linebacker and fullback. At linebacker as a senior he had 151 tackles (101 solo) and three fumble recoveries. At fullback he had 470 yards on 72 carries and had 8 touchdowns. He also received 18 passes for 312 yards and one touchdown.
Mike also played baseball his freshman, sophomore and senior years.
Mike thanked his family, “for their support over these past two years. My mom and dad were always congratulating me after every game and kept their support throughout both seasons. My brother and sisters made it to about everyone of my games and were very supportive as well.” He also thanked his girlfriend, Mara, “for supporting me throughout both years and making it to every game.” “I also thank my coaches for having the confidence in me to lead the team my senior year and starting me both my junior and senior years and my teammates were also very supportive and I had some of my best times with them.”
