George Manson

George Manson has been an assistant coach on Scott Farley’s staff at Leslie High School for 16 years. Manson began his duties at Leslie as an offensive line coach and has also served as a defensive coordinator on both the junior varsity and the varsity levels.

Manson began his coaching career at his alma mater, Lansing Catholic Central as part of Phil Booth’s staff in 1986. During his tenure with the Blackhawks, George has been part of a staff that has reached the playoffs 10 times, including two regional and semi-final appearances, along with a State Final appearance in 2008. Manson is also a member of the Wrestling coaching staff with Todd Stern at Leslie.

Manson was a two sport athlete at Grand Valley State University, participating in both football and wrestling. He completed his Bachelors and Masters degrees at Grand Valley.

Manson and his wife Catherine have three daughters: Nicole, Katie, and Amanda, and welcomed grandson, “J.J.”, earlier this year.
