2011 Woman of the Year
Marge MacDougall

Marge is a graduate of Detroit St. Catherine’s High School and Marygrove College, and did her graduate work at Oakland University. In addition to teaching full time and raising three daughters ,Marge has been involved in building and supporting the football programs at six high schools (Detroit East Catholic, Roseville Sacred Heart, Royal Oak Shrine,Birmingham Groves, Pontiac Notre Dame Prep and Berkley) with her husband, Jim.
While at Sacred Heart and Shrine, Marge prepared team meals at football camp for over 100 players and coaches – for a week at a time! She also prepared pre-game meals at those schools. She has done thisr for 24 years! Marge also fed the coaches while they met on Monday nights. Marge and Jim have been married for 45 years, and his assistant coaches said, “That alone is enough for Marge to earn this award!”
Among other things, Marge has organized parent booster groups and worked the concession stand, and is currently taking statistics and tutoring football players.
Marge is proud of the fact that at each school, the football players have developed into a school and community family.
