Javon Haines

Wide Receiver

6’2″ 181 lbs

Javon said, “I am very fortunate because I have been in the receiving end of unconditional support from my family: my parents, Michelle and Darrell Belcher, and brother Da’Vontay.” 

Organized football has been apart of Javon’s life since the sixth grade. His experience culminated with two years of varsity football. He said, “Through hard work and the good fortune of having great teammates, I was awarded All Conference each year as a defensive back; and was a two-time All Area player also as a defensive back. As a senior, he received All State honors as a wide receiver. In his two years of varsity football he played wide receiver, running back, safety, cornerback and returned punts. 

Javon also contributed to other programs at East Lansing. He played three years of varsity basketball making all conference and all state honorable mention and ran varsity track. 

Javon thanked, “My mother, my dad, my step dad, my brother, my grandpa, my teachers, coaches, and most importantly God.” He said, “It’s been a blessing to achieve what I’ve achieved in my four years of high school athletics and also in the classroom.
