Jason began football in the sixth grade and then returned to the sport in his sophomore year. He shared a starting position as a junior wide receiver and also handled punt returns. As a senior he played both as a wide receiver and as defense back. Pairing up with his favorite quarterback, Dan Vandreumel, Jason totaled 1302 yards, ranking him #1 in the state for the 2007 season.
Jason also played tennis for three years and advanced to the state finals each year. He was also a starting guard on the varsity basketball team, a sport that he has played since first grade.
Jason thanked all of his coaches “that have helped me mature into a great player and a great person. They put so much time into helping the team that it should not go unnoticed.” Jason also thanked his parents and “all of the DeWitt community for supporting.”
