Kevin has always had a passion for football and started playing in the fourth grade. Kevin was a 2006 First Team All Conference receiver, named to the Bay City Times Dream Team, the Saginaw News 2006 All Area Class B Football Team, the Tuscola County Advertiser All Area Football Team and as Honorable Mention All State. Kevin broke several Vulcan records including the single season touchdown reception record with 8, and career touchdown record with 9. He also broke the career record for yards received at 884 and season record for yards received at 681. Kevin is the only player in the Thumb Area this year to play in the East/West game. He is one of 15 members of the 2006 Vulcan Varsity Football Team who were recently named to the Honorable Mention Academic All-State Team and received scholar athlete recognition.
Kevin was active in three high school sports, basketball, football and track. Kevin broke the Vassar High School 300 m hurdle record set in 1981 with a time of 39.76 seconds. Kevin scored all the points in the state track meet to put the Vassar Vulcan’s in 10th place in the MHSAA Division 3 Track and Field Finals. He was the Tri-Valley Conference East Division and Regional Track Champion in 2006. He also took sixth place in the 110 high hurdles and captured the only individual gold medal as State Champion in the 300 hurdles, breaking his own record with a time of 39.55 seconds.
Kevin was active in school activities such as Youth in Government. In his senior year he was Electronic Press Editor for the YIG Conference. He was a member of the Band, Class Secretary, President of the Cap and Gown Committee, member of the Choir and member of the China Club.
