Jared’s parents are Cheryl Evers and L.T. Levine. Jared is an only child and lives with his mother.
Jared started playing football in fourth grade. He played two years on varsity at Ithaca high school and started both years. In his two varsity seasons, the Yellowjackets were 28-0 and won two state championships. In his junior year he started at split end, was voted most improved by his teammates and was honorable mention all TVC West. In his senior year he started at both split end and defensive end. In his senior season, he had 45 catches for 586 yards and 11 touchdowns and rushed for 8 touchdowns and 350 yards on 35 carries. He was voted best receiver and best two-way player. He was named first team TVC West receiver and honorable mention all state receiver.
Jared also participated in track and field and wrestling. He was on the varsity track team for four years and in 2011 he qualified for the state finals in the 110 high hurdles. Jared wrestled in his freshman and senior years and, as a senior, he qualified for the individual state finals at the 285 weight class.
Jared thanked, “God for the gifts he has blessed me with, my mother for being my rock and foundation, Bret Smith for being a father figure to me and all of my coaches.”
